Tamerx Diesel Products ships via UPS Ground. Next day air shipping can be arranged for a reasonable price of anywhere from $50.00 - $100.00 depending on the weight of the product and your location. We will do everything we can to make sure that you get the service you need. We understand how important it is to receive your order as quickly as possible.
In most cases Tamerx Diesel Products only needs one address, as long as your product is shipping to the same location as your billing information. In order to eliminate credit card fraud, your billing information must match the credit card you provide.

The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. If a replacement is determined to be necessary, we will then arrange for your replacement part to ship out ASAP and issue any necessary return shipping labels and/or documents.

As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The fuel pump drive gear is a critical component in diesel engines, responsible for ensuring smooth and reliable fuel delivery. In the Cummins X12 engine, the OEM 5575074 Fuel Pump Drive Gear plays a key role in maintaining engine efficiency and longevity. In this blog, we’ll explore the main functions of this drive gear and why it’s vital to keep it in good working condition.

Key Functions of the Cummins X12 Fuel Pump Drive Gear (OEM 5575074):

  • Transmits Power to the Fuel Pump

    • The primary function of the drive gear is to transmit power from the engine to the fuel pump. This power transmission allows the fuel pump to maintain the necessary pressure for efficient fuel injection.

  • Ensures Consistent Fuel Delivery

    • A properly functioning drive gear ensures that the fuel pump operates consistently, which is essential for maintaining the right fuel pressure and supply. This consistency is crucial for smooth engine performance and reliable power output.

  • Reduces Engine Stress

    • By efficiently driving the fuel pump, the drive gear helps minimize stress on the engine’s fuel system components. This reduction in stress contributes to the overall longevity and reliability of the engine.

  • Designed for Precision Fit

    • The OEM 5575074 Fuel Pump Drive Gear is specifically designed to fit Cummins X12 engines from 2018 to 2022. This ensures compatibility and reliability, minimizing potential issues caused by poorly fitting aftermarket parts.

  • Supports Engine Efficiency and Safety

    • With the right drive gear in place, the fuel pump can operate without interruption, reducing the risk of engine misfires or stalling due to inconsistent fuel pressure. This supports both the efficiency and safety of the engine.

The Cummins X12 Fuel Pump Drive Gear (OEM 5575074) is a small but crucial part of your engine’s fuel delivery system. It ensures consistent fuel pump operation, reduces engine stress, and supports overall engine efficiency. Regular inspection and timely replacement of this drive gear can prevent issues and prolong the life of your Cummins X12 engine. At TamerX Diesel Parts, we provide high-quality OEM parts to keep your engine performing at its best.

The fuel pump drive gear plays a vital role in ensuring that your vehicle’s fuel pump functions correctly. It’s responsible for driving the fuel pump, which in turn delivers fuel to the engine at the required pressure. When the drive gear starts to fail, it can lead to several engine performance issues, affecting the efficiency and reliability of your vehicle. Identifying the signs of a failing fuel pump drive gear early on can help prevent costly repairs and engine damage. In this blog, we’ll explore the key symptoms of a failing fuel pump drive gear.

Symptoms of a Failing Fuel Pump Drive Gear:

  • Difficulty Starting the Engine

    • One of the first signs of a failing fuel pump drive gear is difficulty starting the engine. If the drive gear is worn or damaged, the fuel pump may not be able to generate the necessary fuel pressure for ignition, leading to extended cranking times or failure to start.

  • Loss of Engine Power

    •  A failing drive gear can result in inconsistent fuel delivery, causing a noticeable loss of power. You may experience hesitation during acceleration or find that your vehicle struggles to maintain speed, particularly when climbing hills or towing loads.

  • Engine Stalling or Misfiring

    •  A worn drive gear can cause the fuel pump to supply an inadequate or irregular amount of fuel to the engine. This can lead to engine stalling, rough idling, or misfires, making the vehicle difficult to drive smoothly.

  • Unusual Noises

    • If the fuel pump drive gear is failing, you might hear grinding or whining noises coming from the area where the fuel pump is located. These noises are often a sign of mechanical wear or misalignment within the drive gear system.

  • Poor Fuel Efficiency

    • Inconsistent fuel delivery caused by a failing drive gear can lead to poor fuel efficiency. If the engine isn’t receiving the correct amount of fuel, it can result in incomplete combustion and increased fuel consumption.

  • Check Engine Light

    •  A failing fuel pump drive gear can trigger the check engine light. The vehicle’s sensors may detect irregularities in fuel pressure or engine performance, prompting the engine control unit (ECU) to send a warning signal to the dashboard.

Recognizing the symptoms of a failing fuel pump drive gear—such as difficulty starting the engine, loss of power, stalling, unusual noises, poor fuel efficiency, and a triggered check engine light—can help you address the problem before it leads to more serious engine damage. If you notice any of these warning signs, it’s essential to have your fuel pump and drive gear inspected and repaired by a professional to maintain your vehicle’s reliability and performance. Regular maintenance and timely repairs can prevent further issues and ensure a smooth and efficient driving experience.
