The terms, conditions, and details of our warranty vary from product to product. Specific warranty details can be found below.

Tamerx Diesel Products provides a replacement warranty on all of our parts. The duration and mileage limitations of the warranty vary by product and are specified on the product's detail page/item listing.

Please note that the warranty covers replacement of the part and the cost of shipping the replacement part to you only. It does not cover any shop, labor, towing, or any similar or related costs. This is not a "money back guarantee".

If you experience a problem with your part or it is not functioning properly, the correct warranty procedure is to call us at (510) 257-1777 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET Monday through Friday). Be sure to have your order number and/or other relevant order information ready so we can easily locate your order and resolve your issue as quickly as possible. From that point, we will review with you any troubleshooting steps that may need to be taken and other areas or systems that can be checked to rule out external problems contributing to your part's issue. As is the case for the majority of the diesel products sold on Tamerx Diesel Products, your part's warranty is active as soon as you install it. In some other cases, warranty activation is contingent upon you sending us your core (i.e., your old part). Tamerx Diesel Products will provide you a return shipping label for parts that have a warranty with a core return condition. When we have received your core return, the part's warranty coverage begins. We reserve the right to void the product warranty if your core is not received within the allotted time, or if it isn't received at all. If the warranty for the diesel part you are purchasing has a core return requirement, it will be clearly noted on the product detail page/item listing.

What is a Core Charge?

A core charge (also called "core deposit") is similar to the deposit you might pay for a can or bottle of soda and is a standard requirement in the auto parts industry. For example, in many states, to promote recycling, you pay a deposit when you purchase a can of soda and receive your deposit back when you return the empty can. Many automotive parts have a core charge, or core price, that works in essentially the same way as a soda can deposit.

30 Day Core Charge Hold

You authorize Tamerx Diesel Products, to hold your credit card for the specified core charge amount and that you agree to return your core with 30 days of receiving the purchased part. When we have received your core return, the hold is released and the core charge payment is canceled.

The Detroit 60 Series engine is known for its durability and performance, and one crucial component that helps ensure its reliable operation is the fuel check valve. The OEM 23537213 Fuel Check Valve is essential in maintaining proper fuel pressure, preventing backflow, and ensuring smooth engine operation. In this blog, we will explore the key functions of the fuel check valve and why it is important for your Detroit 60 Series engine from 1996-2007.

Key Functions of the Detroit 60 Series Fuel Check Valve (OEM 23537213):

  • Prevents Fuel Backflow

    • The fuel check valve ensures that fuel flows in one direction, preventing it from flowing back into the fuel tank. This maintains the proper pressure needed for efficient fuel injection.

  • Maintains Fuel Pressure

    • By preventing backflow, the valve helps maintain the correct fuel pressure within the system. Proper pressure is crucial for ensuring that the fuel injectors receive a steady flow of fuel, which is vital for engine efficiency.

  • Improves Engine Starting

    • A malfunctioning check valve can lead to fuel draining from the lines, causing hard starts or extended cranking times. The OEM 23537213 ensures consistent fuel pressure, making engine starts smoother and faster.

  • Reduces Fuel System Wear

    • Proper fuel pressure regulation also reduces the strain on other components of the fuel system, such as the fuel pump and injectors. This contributes to the overall longevity of the fuel system and reduces the need for frequent repairs.

  • Designed for Detroit 60 Series Engines

    • The OEM 23537213 check valve is specifically designed for Detroit 60 Series engines manufactured between 1996-2007, ensuring a perfect fit and reliable performance.

The Detroit 60 Series Fuel Check Valve (OEM 23537213) plays a critical role in maintaining fuel pressure, preventing backflow, and improving overall engine performance. Keeping this component in good working order ensures smoother engine starts, efficient fuel delivery, and extended engine life. TamerX Diesel Parts provides high-quality OEM check valves to ensure your Detroit 60 Series engine operates efficiently and reliably.

The fuel check valve is a crucial component in your vehicle’s fuel system, designed to regulate fuel flow and prevent fuel from flowing backward. When the fuel check valve fails, it can lead to fuel delivery issues, poor engine performance, and potential damage to other components in the system. In this blog, we’ll explore the common causes of fuel check valve failure and how to recognize the signs before it leads to more significant problems.

Common Causes of Fuel Check Valve Failure:

  • Contaminated Fuel

    •  Dirt, debris, and other contaminants in the fuel can cause blockages or damage the check valve over time. These particles can get trapped in the valve, preventing it from functioning properly and leading to fuel flow issues.

  • Wear and Tear

    • Over time, regular wear and tear can cause the check valve to deteriorate. The valve’s internal components, like the spring or seal, can weaken or break, leading to reduced effectiveness or failure.

  • High Fuel Pressure

    •  Excessive fuel pressure in the system can put extra strain on the check valve, causing it to malfunction or fail. If the fuel pressure is consistently too high, it may damage the valve’s internal components.

  • Improper Installation

    •  If the fuel check valve is not installed correctly, it may not function as intended. Improper alignment, loose fittings, or incorrect positioning can cause fuel flow disruptions or even complete failure of the valve.

  • Corrosion

    • Prolonged exposure to moisture or chemicals can lead to corrosion of the valve, particularly if it is made from materials susceptible to rust. Corrosion can weaken the valve and cause it to fail over time.

A fuel check valve can fail due to a variety of factors, including contaminated fuel, wear and tear, high fuel pressure, improper installation, and corrosion. Regular maintenance, using clean fuel, and ensuring proper installation can help extend the life of the check valve and maintain your vehicle’s performance. If you notice any signs of fuel delivery issues, it’s essential to have your fuel system inspected to prevent further damage and costly repairs.
